UPDATE: The Wizard of Oz

Hi! I'm SUPER sorry we haven't been updating! We've been really busy with school and whatnot. :(


UPDATE: So, I was put in the Hair & Makeup Crew for my school's musical in March and the show is none other than... The Wizard of Oz! It's based on the 1939 movie with Judy Garland. I'm SUPER excited! My friends Alexis and John are the Wicked Witch of the West and the Tin Man. I told Alexis a month ago that I would be the one to paint her green and do her makeup! I've been doing a lot of research on what they did for Idina Menzel in Wicked, because Alexis said she didn't want me to make her the ugly Margaret Hamilton version (Not saying Margaret is ugly, just the actual Witch.), but a more "pretty" Wicked Witch. I think I have everything down. I can't wait to see the final result! One issue I might have is the fact that she's also Miss Gulch in the beginning, so I won't have as much time to make her into the Witch, since she's a normal white woman in the beginning of the play. Well, we'll see how it all goes.
John being the Tin Man was also a good thing. This passed Halloween, I was going to be the Tin Man, but I never found a costume, so I just went with a Ravenclaw robe. The sad part is, I bought silver face paint, hair color spray, and even false lashes! Well, yesterday, John's girlfriend, my friend Brianna said she really wants me to do his makeup for the show, too, so I'm like "I'M ALL SET!". Putting false eyelashes on him, though... that's gonna be fun!


So, I'll keep you guys updated on the musical and how the makeup goes! This is my first time doing makeup for a production, so wish me luck!
